Does pcos cause hair thinning?

I've noticed my hair becoming much thinner over the past year, especially on my crown. I've been diagnosed with PCOS, and I'm wondering if there's a link. Does PCOS cause hair thinning?

Yes, hair thinning is a very common effect of PCOS. Taking multi-vitamins and biotin prescribed by my wife's doctor really helped her improve her hair density.

Omg yes, my partition line was getting so wide and I was so stressed during my exams. My pg roommate told me it's due to my PCOS hormones. Now I'm just focusing on yoga and eating better.

My daughter had severe hair thinning during her college days because of her cysts. Don't lose heart, with time and proper traditional home food like curry leaves and a calm lifestyle, her hair grew back beautifully.

Before you spend a fortune on expensive hair serums and shampoos, get a basic hormone panel and thyroid test done. It is much cheaper to treat the internal PCOS cause than buying external cosmetic products.
