Does pantene cause hair loss?

Lately, my hair has started falling out quite a bit, more than usual. I've been using Pantene shampoo for a long time, and now I'm wondering if there's any connection. Could Pantene be contributing to my hair loss?

It doesn't directly cause hair loss, but some people are sensitive to its heavy silicones which can clog hair follicles. Switch to a milder shampoo for safety.

Honestly, at this point, I feel like even looking at my comb causes hair loss! I used Pantene for a year and while my hair was shiny, the fallout was real. It might just be stress or water, but changing the shampoo definitely helped reduce my late-night panic over hair fall.

Shampoo is just external; real hair strength comes from your nutrition. While some chemicals in commercial shampoos can cause breakage if your scalp is sensitive, make sure you are getting enough protein and iron in your daily diet too. It makes a huge difference.

I was actually researching this online yesterday because my sister started losing hair after using their new range. It turns out some ingredients like DMDM hydantoin or strong sulfates can cause scalp irritation and breakage in some people. It's probably best to switch to a gentler formula.

I ignored my heavy hair fall thinking it was just my shampoo, but it turned out to be a severe vitamin D deficiency and scalp issue. Don't just blame Pantene or keep switching brands. Go to a good dermatologist and get your scalp checked properly before you lose more hair.

Having PCOS, my hair is already very prone to thinning, so I have to be extremely careful with what I use. While Pantene itself might not cause hormonal hair loss, its strong fragrance and sulfates can definitely cause scalp irritation and external breakage. I'd suggest trying a milder, doctor-approved shampoo.
