Does ozempic cause thyroid cancer?

My cousin told me Ozempic has a black box warning about thyroid cancer. I'm already on the medication for my type 2 diabetes. Should I be worried about this connection?

Haan yaar, yeh darr toh sabko hota hai jab medical leaflet padhte hain. But actually, yeh risk zyada tar animals mein dekha gaya tha trials ke time pe, humans mein itna common nahi hai na. Phir bhi, safe side ke liye apne doc se baat zaroor kar lena.

If we start worrying about every side effect listed on medicine boxes, we would have to stop eating regular salt too! The risk is mostly in laboratory studies, so no need to plan your retirement just yet. Just keep your doctor in the loop.

I totally get why you're worried, even I hesitated for weeks before starting. The truth is, the warning is there for safety, but real-world cases are incredibly rare. Just be open with your doctor about your fears and they will guide you safely.

I have been on this treatment for over a year now. The key is regular monitoring—just get your neck examined and routine blood tests done as advised by your physician. Being proactive always beats worrying unnecessarily.

I had the same panic when I was prescribed this. My doctor actually did a quick thyroid ultrasound and blood test just to be 100% sure before starting my dose. Once the tests came back normal, I felt so much more confident and have had no issues since.

It's a serious warning on the box, but clinical data shows it's extremely rare. I prefer focusing on a clean diet and my daily 10k steps to manage my health naturally while being on the right medication under strict medical supervision.

I totally understand the anxiety and sleepless nights this thought can cause, because I went through the exact same fear. It is so scary to read those warnings on life-saving meds. Just take a deep breath and share this fear with your doctor; they will comfort you.

Listen, don't let these scary articles online ruin your peace of mind. The doctors check your medical history very thoroughly before writing a prescription for this. If you don't have any personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer, you are generally safe.

Bro, google searches will literally tell you that you have two days to live even for a normal cough. Don't stress too much about the cancer warning unless you have some family history of thyroid issues. Just ask your doc, they know the best.

I am so terrified of starting my first dose because of this warning. Has anyone else here actually had their doctor explain the real percentage of this risk? It would really help calm my nerves if you could share.
