Does onion juice help hair loss?

My hair has been falling out quite a bit recently, and I'm getting worried. My grandmother suggested applying onion juice to my scalp. Does onion juice actually help with hair loss, or is it just an old wives' tale?

I keep seeing these onion juice videos all over my social media feed. Some people swear by it because of the sulfur content, but I am still searching for actual scientific proof. Let me know if you actually try it and get results.

Hey, I actually tried this for three months when I had crazy hair fall after COVID. It did make my roots feel a bit stronger, but honestly, the smell is just terrible and so hard to get out of your hair. Just be ready for that stink if you plan to try it!

Please be very careful with this remedy. I applied raw onion juice directly to my scalp and ended up with a horrible burning sensation and red bumps. If you have a sensitive scalp, it is much safer to visit a dermatologist first.

I love onions in my biryani and salads, but putting them on my head sounds like a culinary disaster! Personally, eating a high-protein diet rich in eggs and paneer did way more for my hair health than any juice ever could.

Listen, hair loss can happen due to stress, water quality, or even lack of iron. Onion juice might give some temporary strength, but you need to find the root cause first. Get a basic blood test done before trying these kitchen remedies.

Take care of your mind along with your hair, as stress is often the main reason behind hair fall. While onion juice is a good natural remedy, don't worry too much about the results. Keep a calm mind and nourish yourself from within.
