Does novolog cause weight gain?

I've been on Novolog insulin for my diabetes for about a year now. I've noticed a gradual increase in my weight, which is a bit concerning for managing my condition. Is weight gain a common side effect of taking Novolog insulin?

I know how stressful it is to manage diabetes and then see weight gain on top of it, it feels so unfair. Please don't worry too much, as this is a very common reaction when your blood sugar starts settling down. Take a deep breath and discuss your lifestyle with your doctor.

With my high BP and diabetes, weight management is a daily struggle. NovoLog can cause some weight gain because insulin makes the body store energy more efficiently. Regular checkups and keeping a strict eye on daily salt and carb intake have helped me manage both issues.

I panicked so much when I saw my weight creeping up after starting NovoLog. But my doctor explained it's completely normal because the insulin is finally helping my body absorb the glucose properly instead of wasting it. Once my doses were adjusted and I watched my carbs, it stabilized.

Ah, the joy of diabetes medications! First you worry about high sugar, then you take insulin and worry about the tummy growing. Yes, NovoLog does cause some weight gain, but it is better than keeping blood sugar high. Just keep moving and laugh it off.

Yeah, my uncle had the same issue when he started NovoLog. He gained a few kilos quickly, but his doctor told him it's just the insulin doing its job to store sugar. He managed it later with a proper diet chart.

I tried all kinds of herbal juices to avoid insulin because of the weight gain fear, but my health only suffered. When I finally started NovoLog, I did gain a bit of weight, but having a warm cup of methi water in the morning and eating fiber-rich food helped me manage it naturally.

Yes, it is a very common side effect because your cells are finally getting the sugar they need! Just keep eating clean and stay active, and your body will adjust to the medicine beautifully.

NovoLog can increase fat storage because insulin is an anabolic hormone. To counter this, you need to be very diligent with your weight training and portion control. Keep your protein intake high and adjust your calorie deficit according to your activity level.

It is true that insulin can lead to some weight gain, but we can easily control it with small lifestyle changes. Try to reduce heavy oil and sweets from your daily meals and do 30 minutes of simple walking. It is a very practical way to balance the insulin effect.
