Does non fluoride toothpaste prevent cavities?

I'm trying to switch to more natural products for my family, and I saw some non-fluoride toothpastes online. My mother-in-law says fluoride is important for teeth, but I'm unsure. Can non-fluoride toothpaste still effectively prevent cavities for adults and children?

I switched to a non-fluoride herbal toothpaste some time back because of my health conditions. However, my dentist later told me that without fluoride, my teeth were losing their enamel strength. It is really important to get regular dental checkups to see if your teeth actually need that extra protection.

I totally get it, you want to avoid extra chemicals in your daily routine. But honestly, fluoride is what actually helps to shield our teeth from daily acid attacks. If you do go non-fluoride, just make sure your diet is very low in sugars so you don't get cavities.

Nature has provided us with many ways to keep ourselves healthy, like neem and babool. But we must also balance it with modern science when required. Take care of your health with a positive mind, and choose whatever brings you peace and strength.

If non-fluoride toothpaste could fully stop cavities, my local dentist would have to shut down his shop and sell tea! Jokes aside, brushing well is good, but fluoride is like the actual bodyguard for your teeth. Use it unless you really have some allergy.

I tried using a trending non-fluoride charcoal paste for a year because it felt natural. Ended up with three painful cavities that required expensive fillings last month. My dentist strictly told me to go back to regular fluoride toothpaste to save my teeth.

From a practical standpoint, non-fluoride pastes will clean plaque but they won't remineralize weak spots. If you have a history of frequent cavities, sticking to a standard fluoride toothpaste recommended by your dentist is much safer.
