Does nizoral cause hair loss?

I've been using Nizoral shampoo for a while to treat my dandruff. Lately, I've noticed more hair coming out when I wash it. Could Nizoral shampoo be causing hair loss?

Nahi bhaiya, Nizoral toh dahi aur neem ki tarah dandruff saaf karne ke liye hota hai. Isse baal jhadte nahi hain, balki jab dandruff theek hota hai toh baal aur majboot hote hain. Aap bina chinta ke isse hafte mein do baar lagao.

Actually, Nizoral ketoconazole shampoo hai jo dandruff ke liye achha hai. Shuru mein lagta hai baal toot rahe hain, par woh pehle se kamzor baal hote hain jo nikalte hain. Isko lagane ke baad ek achha basic conditioner lagao, baal soft rahenge aur tootenge nahi.

I tried methi packs and lemon juice for months but only Nizoral controlled my severe dandruff. It doesn't cause hair loss. But yes, it can make hair a bit dry, so apply coconut oil on lengths before washing or use conditioner after.

Ketoconazole, the active ingredient in Nizoral, is actually sometimes used to help treat androgenetic alopecia. It reduces scalp inflammation. However, if you experience sudden, severe hair loss, it is best to consult a dermatologist.

I usually prefer washing my hair with shikakai, but Nizoral is very good for stubborn fungal dandruff and doesn't cause hair fall. But if your hair is falling out in large clumps, please see a skin doctor instead of trying different shampoos.

It doesn't cause hair loss. In fact, removing dandruff helps scalp health which is great for hair growth. Pair your scalp care with good blood circulation from daily walks or light exercise, and you'll see great improvement.
