Does naproxen help with teeth pain?

I have terrible tooth pain right now, and I'm waiting for a dentist appointment. I have some Naproxen at home. Will Naproxen help with this kind of severe teeth pain?

I went to a dental hospital last month for a severe toothache and they specifically told me not to take random painkillers because they can mask deep infections. Ask your dentist clearly what medication is safe for your specific issue. Don't risk self-medicating.

It can help reduce the throbbing pain temporarily, but it won't cure the dental infection. Just like managing my thyroid, you need regular doctor follow-ups to find the root cause. Please book an appointment with a dentist rather than just suppressing the pain with tablets.

My sister suggested this for my wisdom tooth pain, but I have never taken it before. Does it work quickly, and is it safe to take if I have a sensitive stomach? I am a bit hesitant to try new tablets.

I think it does provide relief, but I am always very cautious with painkillers because they can sometimes mess with my hormones and gut health. I would suggest asking your doctor first. It is always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to strong pills.

Yes, it is an anti-inflammatory, so it helps with the swelling and toothache quite well. However, if there is a deep cavity or root issue, you will need a proper dental procedure. Take it with food to protect your stomach, and see a dentist soon.
