Does mirabegron cause weight gain?

My doctor recently prescribed mirabegron for my bladder issues. I'm a bit concerned about side effects because I've heard some medications can cause weight gain. Can anyone confirm if mirabegron leads to an increase in weight?

I took mirabegron for overactive bladder for six months. I didn't experience any weight gain during the treatment. Just make sure to check your blood pressure regularly as it can sometimes increase BP.

My grandmother was prescribed this medicine and I haven't noticed any change in her weight at all. She is as active as she usually is. It seems quite safe from that perspective.

I totally get it, worrying about weight gain when starting a new medicine is so common. From what I know, weight change is not a typical side effect of mirabegron, so please don't stress too much.

Actually, it shouldn't cause weight gain, yaar. My grandfather takes it and he is completely fine. Just keep track of your daily routine and don't worry about this too much.

I feel keeping your daily routine active is key. Some medicines might cause minor metabolic changes, but daily gentle stretching and walking will keep your weight and digestion perfectly fine.

If you are noticing any sudden weight gain, it might be worth getting your routine thyroid levels checked. Sometimes we blame the new medicine when it could be an underlying hormonal shift.

I love my food, and I can tell you that my uncle who takes this medicine has the same appetite and hasn't gained any weight. So you can relax and enjoy your meals without worry!

Beta, you can drink a little barley water to help with bladder issues naturally, but don't stop your prescribed medicine on your own. If you feel any heaviness or swelling, ask your doctor directly.

My father is on this medication for bladder issues and his doctor told us it doesn't cause weight changes. He has been taking it for a year with zero issues. Trust your doctor and continue the course.
