Does metoprolol succinate cause weight gain?

I'm taking Metoprolol Succinate for my heart condition, and it seems like my weight is slowly increasing. Is it a known side effect that this medicine causes weight gain?

Haan, bilkul, isse thoda weight gain ho sakta hai because heart rate slow ho jata hai na. Par ghabrane ki baat nahi hai, thoda diet control rakhoge toh manage ho jayega.

Haan na, weight thoda badh jata hai isse and body lazy feel karti hai. Humare doctor ne bola tha thoda namak kam kijiye and daily walk chalu rakhiye.

I have been taking this tablet for my blood pressure for over ten years now. A little weight gain of 2-3 kgs is very normal in the beginning, so do not stop your BP medicine over this.

My metabolism was already slow, and then my doctor gave me metoprolol to make it a snail! Yes, it causes some weight gain, but at least our heart remains happy and calm.
