Does metformin damage the liver?
My brother has some liver issues, and he's also on Metformin for his diabetes. It made me wonder if Metformin can actually damage the liver in people.

I've been taking it for my PCOS for a year now and had the same worry. From what my doctor explained, it's actually quite safe for the liver and even helps in cases of fatty liver. Still, everyone's body is different, so it's always safe to get a routine liver function test done just to be sure.

Nahi babu, aisa kuch nahi hai. Mere bade bhaiyya pichle das saal se ye goli kha rahe hain diabetes ke liye, unka liver bilkul thik thak hai. Bas aap doctor ki salah se hi dawai khao aur bina wajah dimaag mein darr mat rakho. Sab achha hoga.

Beta, main pichle bees saal se diabetes ka mareez hoon aur metformin meri roz ki khurak hai. Bhagwan ki daya se mera liver bilkul tandurust hai aur reports bhi normal aati hain. Bas doctor jo kahe uspar bharosa rakho aur roz subah thoda ghoomne jaya karo.

Haan, shuru mein aisi baatein sunke darr lagta hai na. But actually metformin safe dawai mani jati hai liver ke liye, in fact ye fatty liver mein thoda help hi karti hai. Phir bhi saal mein ek baar normal blood test karwa liya karo tension free rehne ke liye.

Bro, my mom takes this and I actually googled it when she started. Turns out it's one of the safest meds out there and doesn't mess with the liver. Just don't combine it with heavy drinking or anything wild like that, and you are totally good.

Oh god, please don't stress too much about this! Metformin is super common and doctors prescribe it precisely because it's safe for long-term use. Unless you already have some major liver disease, it won't harm you. Just chill and take your doses on time.

Dekho ji, liver damage ka koi tension nahi hai agar aap dhang ki lifestyle rakhein. Dawai ke sath thoda oily khana kam karo aur paani acche se piyo. Har 6 mahine mein ek baar LFT test karwa lo, jo mushkil se 300-400 rupaye ka hota hai, sab clear rahega.
