Does medishare cover pregnancy?

My husband and I are planning to start a family soon, and we're reviewing health insurance options. We heard about a new 'Medishare' type of plan. I wanted to know if this specific plan covers pregnancy-related expenses and delivery costs. It's very important for us.

Hello, I am actually planning to join and wanted to ask about this. Is there a waiting period before they cover maternity expenses, or do they share the delivery costs immediately if we are already pregnant? Any guidance on this would be really helpful, thank you.

Yes, they do share pregnancy costs, but your marriage must be registered and you need to be a member before conception. During my own pregnancy, I drank ginger tea for morning sickness and ate simple home food which helped a lot. Do check their rules early so you can plan the finances safely.

Pregnancy is the best excuse to eat all your favorite foods, but yes, you also have to manage the huge hospital bills! Medi-Share does cover maternity care, but they have a limit on how much they share depending on your plan. Just make sure to read the fine print while you enjoy your cravings!

Congratulations on the great news! Yes, Medi-Share definitely shares maternity and delivery costs as long as you were a member before getting pregnant. Wishing you a very happy and healthy nine months ahead!

I used this program for my second child's delivery, and the community was incredibly supportive in sharing the hospital costs. Just be sure to notify them as soon as your pregnancy is confirmed so they can set up your maternity sharing program correctly. It saves a lot of last-minute stress.

Yes, maternity costs are eligible for sharing among members. If the expecting mother has gestational diabetes, please make sure to follow a strict low-sugar diet and get regular checkups, as managing blood sugar during pregnancy is absolutely critical for the baby's health.
