Does matcha make your hair fall out?

I've started drinking matcha as part of a healthier lifestyle, but my hair seems to be falling out more than usual. I'm wondering if there's any connection, does matcha make your hair fall out? Or is it just a coincidence?

My daughter started drinking matcha daily and then noticed her hair falling out, which made her very worried. We realized it wasn't the matcha, but rather her iron levels were very low. Make sure you are eating a nutrient-rich diet instead of blaming the tea.

Our hair often reflects our inner peace and vitality. Matcha is a pure, natural gift from nature that nourishes the body, so don't fear it. Stay positive, massage your scalp with love, and let your body heal naturally.

No way, bro. I've been having matcha shots before my gym sessions for months and my hair is completely fine. Hair loss is usually genetic or due to stress, not from a clean green tea.

Actually, medical research shows matcha is rich in EGCG, a compound known to promote hair growth. During my dermatological consultation, my doctor explicitly stated that matcha does not cause hair loss. If you have sudden hair thinning, get your serum ferritin and thyroid levels checked.

With our busy corporate schedules, stress is the number one cause of telogen effluvium (hair shedding). Matcha won't make your hair fall out; if anything, its antioxidants help. Focus on managing your work stress and sleep cycle.

I completely understand how terrifying it is to see hair fall out and start blaming everything we eat or drink. But scientifically, matcha actually has nutrients that protect hair follicles. Please try to relax, it is highly unlikely to be the cause.

I can only share what happened to me, but drinking matcha didn't affect my hair health at all. When I had bad hair fall, it turned out to be the hard water in my new apartment. Installing a water softener solved it for me.
