Does matcha cause hair loss?

I recently started drinking matcha tea because I heard it's healthy. However, a friend mentioned that matcha might cause hair loss. Is there any truth to this, or is it just a rumor?

Matcha se hair loss? Haan na, mujhe bhi pehle laga tha par actually isme antioxidants hote hain jo acche hote hain. Hair fall toh stress ya pollution se hota hai, matcha se toh bilkul nahi hota.

I totally get it, when you start noticing hair on your brush, you start doubting everything you consume. But don't worry, matcha actually has nutrients that support hair growth. It's highly unlikely to be the cause of your hair loss.

I am quite new to drinking matcha and was hoping it would help my skin, but now I am worried. Does it really cause hair fall, or is it actually good for hair health? Please let me know if anyone has noticed this.

According to my health tracking app's nutrition database, matcha is loaded with EGCG, which actually helps promote hair growth by stimulating hair follicles. Unless you are consuming excessive caffeine overall, it shouldn't cause hair fall. Track your daily nutrient intake to spot any real gaps.

I panicked so much when my hair started thinning and stopped drinking matcha completely, thinking it was the culprit! But after researching, it turns out matcha actually fights hair fall. If your hair loss is severe, definitely get a blood test done for iron and thyroid.

I've been drinking matcha daily for a year and my hair is actually better than before. Hair loss is usually due to hard water, vitamin deficiencies, or stress. Try focusing on a balanced diet and keep enjoying your matcha!
