Does masterbaiting give you weight gain?

I'm trying to manage my weight, and lately, I've heard some strange things online. Does masterbaiting actually cause you to gain weight? I'm a bit confused.

Weight gain is entirely dependent on your calorie intake and how active you are during the day. This activity does not affect your metabolic weight at all. Just focus on a clean, fiber-rich vegetarian diet and avoid eating high-calorie processed snacks when you are bored.

There is no scientific connection between these two things as far as I know. However, if you are experiencing sudden, unexplained weight gain, you should not ignore it. It is always safer to consult a qualified doctor and rule out any hormonal or thyroid issues.

I was also wondering about this because my body shape has been changing lately. I am quite shy to talk to anyone about this directly. Is there really no chance of hormones causing weight gain because of this? If anyone has some genuine info, please tell.

Absolutely not, bro. Weight gain only happens when you are in a calorie surplus and sitting on the couch all day. If your health permits, start doing 45 minutes of brisk walking or hitting the gym. That will actually burn calories and keep you in top shape.

From what I have learned managing my own PCOS, hormonal weight gain is usually linked to insulin resistance and lifestyle factors, not this. It is a very safe and natural habit. But if you have other symptoms like irregular periods or bloating, it might be worth discussing with a gynecologist.

I completely understand how stressful it is when you start overthinking every small change in your body. It is very easy to fall into a rabbit hole of health anxiety. Just take a deep breath and relax, there is no medical link between this habit and gaining weight.

Haha, I remember panicking about this exact same thing during my college days when I put on 5 kgs in a semester. Honestly, it was just the late-night hostel maggi and lack of sleep doing it. Once I started eating better, my weight went back to normal, so chill out.
