Does magnesium help with hair loss?

Been noticing a lot of hair fall recently, especially after washing my hair. Someone mentioned that magnesium supplements might help with this. Is it true, or just a rumour?

Hey! Magnesium is great for reducing stress, which is a huge cause of hair fall. It also helps with scalp circulation. I started taking a balanced diet with nuts and seeds and my hair quality has definitely improved! 😊

I tried onion juice, amla packs, and curd, but my hair kept falling. Finally, I realized my inner health was weak, and my doctor pointed out a mineral deficiency. Adding magnesium and zinc to my diet, along with mild hair oiling, finally reduced the shedding. Internal nutrition matters most.

I manage my high blood pressure with regular medication and a low-sodium diet rich in magnesium. Interestingly, when my overall cardiovascular health and blood flow improved, my hair thinning also slowed down a bit. Always get your full body vitals checked before starting new pill routines.

With my busy corporate routine, I don't have time for complicated hair masks. I just took a dermatologist-prescribed multivitamin that contains magnesium and iron, which works well. It takes at least 3-4 months to see any real change in hair density, so be consistent.

If you are having sudden, severe hair loss, please get your thyroid levels checked first. I was losing clumps of hair and thought it was just lack of magnesium or iron, but it turned out to be hypothyroidism. Only the proper thyroid dose from my doctor stopped the hair fall.

I know how depressing it is to look at the bathroom floor full of hair every single morning, it literally ruins your self-confidence. Magnesium might help with stress-induced hair loss, but please visit a good dermatologist. Don't lose hope, there are proper treatments available today.

I am experiencing a lot of hair thinning near my forehead partition lately. Will taking magnesium tablets help grow new hair, or is it only to stop the existing hair from falling out? I am very new to all of this and would appreciate any guidance.

At my age, hair loss is natural, but in my experience, a calm mind and wholesome food are the best remedies. Magnesium helps calm the nervous system and improves sleep, which naturally reflects on your skin and hair health. Don't worry too much about aging hair, just eat well.
