Does magnesium cause hair loss?

I've been experiencing increased hair fall recently and I'm trying to figure out the cause. I'm taking magnesium supplements for sleep. Could magnesium intake actually cause hair loss as a side effect?

Haan na, even I was worried about this. Actually, magnesium deficiency is what causes hair loss, not the supplement itself. Proper magnesium level keeps your hair healthy, so don't worry about it.

I have to manage my sugar and keep track of all minerals. Magnesium actually helps with insulin and hair health, but taking extreme doses might upset your stomach. Balance is key, just like with diet.

No yaar, actually magnesium deficiency makes hair weak! Taking a normal amount of magnesium is good for your scalp. If you're losing hair, it might be due to stress or water quality, check that first.

Haha, if magnesium caused hair loss, every gym bro taking zinc-magnesium supplements would be bald by now! Relax, it actually helps hair grow, so you can stop stressing.

Daily pranayama and natural seeds rich in magnesium like pumpkin seeds can prevent hair fall. Synthetic supplements can sometimes cause an imbalance, so try to get your magnesium from nature first.

I know how heartbreaking it is to see chunks of hair in the shower, it really drains your confidence. Don't worry, magnesium is not the enemy here, but do see a dermatologist to find the real cause of your hair fall.

I ignored my heavy hair fall thinking it was just a seasonal thing and started taking random pills. Later, a blood test showed I had severe vitamin deficiencies and thyroid issues. Please get a proper doctor checkup done.
