Does lupus make your hair fall out?

I have Lupus, and lately, I've noticed my hair falling out much more than usual, clogging the drain every time I shower. I'm wondering if this is a known symptom of the condition. Can Lupus cause significant hair loss?

Yes, lupus definitely causes hair fall, especially during active flares. It can either thin out your whole scalp or leave circular patches. Don't panic, just get the autoimmune treatment started to stop the fall.

Hair loss can be a difficult test for our peace of mind, but remember that the body has a great capacity to heal. Keep a positive mind, eat clean food, and trust the medical treatment. This phase of heavy hair fall will pass in time.

Yes, lupus inflammation can attack the hair follicles, leading to severe shedding. To support your body, make sure you are getting enough protein and iron, but remember that only targeted autoimmune medication can actually halt the shedding.

Washing the hair with lukewarm amla or shikakai water can keep the scalp clean and cool. However, for lupus hair fall, the real treatment must come from the doctor's tablets. Traditional ways can only support, not cure this.

Don't trust random internet home remedies like onion juice or herbal oils for lupus hair fall. This is an internal immune system issue, not a simple dandruff problem. Go to a qualified dermatologist or rheumatologist to get it treated properly.
