Does lupus hair loss grow back?

I've been experiencing significant hair loss due to my Lupus condition, and it's quite distressing. I'm really hoping it's not permanent. For those with Lupus-related hair loss, is it possible for the hair to grow back once the condition is managed?

I am very scared about this. Does the hair grow back normally, or does it require special scalp treatments? I would be really grateful if anyone could share how long it took for their hair to start returning.

Managing PCOS has shown me how hard hair thinning can be on your mind. With lupus, the hair usually grows back once the internal inflammation is under control, but it takes a lot of patience. Be gentle with your scalp and don't lose hope.

Yes, in most cases, the hair does grow back once the lupus flare-up is controlled with proper medical treatment. However, if there are discoid lupus scars on the scalp, those patches might be permanent. Save your time and consult a dermatologist directly.

Yes, standard lupus hair loss usually grows back once your disease goes into remission with treatment.

Don't spend heavily on expensive hair regrowth serums or salon therapies right now because they won't help autoimmune loss. Save your money for the rheumatologist consultations and thyroid/lupus blood panels; once the disease is managed, hair will return naturally.

Hair comes back once the medication starts working, haan na. It just takes some time for the scalp to heal, so we have to keep patience and avoid using any harsh oils.
