Does lower estrogen cause weight gain?

I've been experiencing some hormonal changes lately and also noticed an increase in my weight, especially around my mid-section. My friends mentioned that lower estrogen levels, often during perimenopause, can cause weight gain. Is this true?

During my menopause years, I suddenly started putting on weight around my belly even though my diet was the same. Lower estrogen definitely shifts where your body stores fat and slows down the metabolism. Don't worry, it is a very natural phase of life, just focus on staying active and eating simple home-cooked meals.

I completely understand how frustrating this is, I used to cry looking at the scale when my hormones went out of whack. Yes, low estrogen makes your body hold onto fat, especially around the abdomen. Please don't be hard on yourself, your body is just going through a hormonal shift and it's not your fault.

My wife went through this and honestly, the hormonal drop makes you crave sweet and carb-heavy food like crazy! So it's a double whammy—low estrogen slows things down, and those late-night dessert cravings don't help either. Managing those mid-afternoon snack urges is half the battle won.

Actually lower estrogen levels se weight gain bohot common hai, especially around the stomach area. Lower hormone levels mean your metabolism goes slow, yaar. It feels so annoying when you are working out and still putting on weight, but it's totally hormonal.

I am facing this exact issue right now and my weight has shot up by 5 kgs in just two months. Is anyone else also experiencing intense bloating and fat accumulation around the waist because of low estrogen? I feel so anxious thinking my body is completely changing.

Yes, it does, but before you buy any expensive hormonal supplements, please get a proper hormone profile test done. You can find good discount coupons online on apps like Tata 1mg or Pharmeasy to get the blood tests done cheaply. Don't waste money on guess-work treatments.
