Does low testosterone cause weight gain?

I've noticed a steady increase in my weight over the past few months, even though my diet hasn't changed much. My energy levels are also quite low these days. Could low testosterone be contributing to this weight gain?

Yes, low T can lead to increased body fat and slow metabolism. Before getting expensive treatments, compare the prices of testosterone total and free tests across local labs because online packages are often much cheaper. Plan your budget wisely first.

In my experience, when my doctor diagnosed me with low testosterone, I had gained a lot of weight around my midsection and felt very sluggish. After starting proper medical treatment and improving my daily routine, my weight gradually went down. That's just what worked for me.

Low testosterone can definitely alter your body composition by increasing fat storage. As a vegetarian, I made sure to focus on protein-rich sources like paneer, sprouts, and nuts to preserve muscle mass while addressing my hormone levels. Do consult your dietician and doctor for personalized advice.
