Does low progesterone cause hair loss?

I've been noticing more hair loss lately, and my periods have also become a bit irregular. My gynaecologist mentioned my hormone levels, including progesterone. Could low progesterone levels actually be causing my hair to fall out?

My grandmother used to tell me to apply coconut oil with curry leaves when my hair was falling out, but the doctor explained that low progesterone can lead to estrogen dominance, which actually causes hair thinning. It is best to balance your hormones under medical guidance while keeping up with traditional hair care.

As someone with PCOS, hormonal hair fall is something I deal with constantly. Progesterone drop can cause issues, but we must remember that high androgens are also a major reason for hair loss in women. It is safer to consult a specialist for a proper hormone panel instead of assuming.

I dealt with severe hair fall due to low progesterone post-pregnancy. The only thing that worked was bioidentical progesterone prescribed by my doctor, along with improving my gut health. Avoid rubbing your hair aggressively and don't waste money on expensive hair oils right now.

Hormones affect everything from your hair to your blood pressure. I have learned the hard way that lifestyle stress can mess up all our hormone levels, including progesterone. Focus on reducing stress, getting decent sleep, and consulting a doctor for proper checkups.

My sister was buying every anti-hairfall shampoo in the supermarket until we found out her hormones were just playing hide and seek. Save your money on those fancy shampoos and get a quick blood test done instead—it is much cheaper and actually works!

Please don't ignore this or try to treat it with self-medication. I tried taking some random herbal supplements for hormone balance and ended up with severe irregular bleeding. Please go to a proper doctor and get your hormone levels checked professionally.

I used to feel so devastated seeing clumps of my hair on the bathroom floor every morning. It literally made me cry and avoid going out. Please know that your feelings are completely valid, but don't lose hope—once your hormone levels get balanced, the hair fall does stop.

I track my cycle and symptoms on an app and noticed my hair fall peaks during my luteal phase when progesterone should ideally be high. It really helps to map these symptoms so you can show the data to your doctor. Getting a hormone test done at the right time is key.

Do not let the worry of hair loss disturb your inner peace. Our bodies are complex systems, and sometimes they just need a little gentle correction. Stay positive, eat clean home-cooked food, and let the medical experts guide your hormone therapy.

At my age, I have seen my body go through so many hormonal changes. Yes, hair thinning happens when progesterone drops, but remember it is a natural phase of life. Don't worry, your hair will stabilize, just focus on keeping your body nourished and peaceful.

I have seen this query so many times here. Yes, when progesterone levels fall, it can definitely trigger hair shedding. My advice is to avoid harsh chemical treatments right now and talk to your gynecologist about testing your levels during the correct days of your cycle.

Haan, jab hormones imbalance hote hain na, toh sabse pehle hair fall hi shuru hota hai. Low progesterone se baal thode patle ho jate hain. Kisi achhe doctor se consult karke supplements start karo, ghar pe baith ke darna mat.
