Does lonsurf cause hair loss?

My doctor has started me on Lonsurf tablets for my treatment. I'm already worried about the side effects, and some people have told me that chemotherapy causes hair loss. Is Lonsurf known to cause hair loss as well?

Look, Lonsurf is a strong cancer medicine, so hair thinning can happen. Don't worry about the hair right now, just focus on finishing your treatment. Hair will grow back once the course is done.

While on heavy medication like this, focus on keeping your overall body strength up. Eat clean, protein-rich food and do very light walks if your energy levels allow. Let the body heal from within.

My elders suggested some coconut oil massage, but when it comes to Lonsurf, we strictly follow the oncologist's advice. Mild hair thinning is a known side effect, so please do not use any local hair products without asking your doctor.

Yeah, my uncle was on Lonsurf and he did lose some hair, it got quite thin. But it's temporary, so don't get too stressed out about it.

My doctor just prescribed Lonsurf and I am extremely terrified of losing my hair. Has anyone here actually taken it? Did you experience major hair loss or was it just some mild shedding?

Since Lonsurf is an expensive medication, don't waste extra money on costly hair therapies or shampoos now. Just keep your scalp clean with a basic mild shampoo; those fancy hair fall treatments won't work during active chemotherapy anyway.

According to our doctor, Lonsurf can cause alopecia, but it's usually mild thinning rather than complete hair loss like standard chemo. He advised using a very soft brush and avoiding any harsh chemicals or heat styling during therapy.
