Does lipedema cause weight gain?

My doctor recently said I might have something called lipedema. I've noticed my legs and arms getting heavier, especially in certain areas, even when my diet is controlled. Does this condition actually make you gain weight?

Haan na, it actually makes the lower body look heavy and it feels like we are gaining weight constantly. No matter how much you diet, that stubborn fat just doesn't go easily. It is very frustrating but don't lose hope.

When I took my sister to Apollo, the specialist explained that lipedema causes abnormal fat accumulation, which looks like rapid weight gain. Please don't try random diets and ask your doctor clearly for a proper diagnosis.

I panicked so much thinking I was just getting obese and nothing was working. Later the doctor explained it is just fluid and fat buildup from lipedema, not regular weight gain. Once you understand this, the stress goes away.

Haan beta, it causes a lot of heaviness in the legs and makes us look heavier. Don't be sad or feel bad about your body. Just eat simple ghar ka khana and take care of your health slowly.

It definitely makes the legs look fuller, but don't worry too much! 🌸 Keep yourself active and drink lots of water. Staying positive is half the battle won, so keep smiling! 😊

Yes, it causes fat buildup, but eating inflammatory foods can make the swelling worse. I focus on a clean vegetarian diet with lots of green veggies and less salt. It won't cure it, but it definitely helps with the heavy feeling.

Lipedema makes the legs and arms heavy, which adds to the scale weight. Instead of starving yourself, try low-impact walks and wearing compression stockings. These simple things help manage the swelling and pain much better.

Yes, it does cause swelling and weight gain in specific areas. It is a tough condition to deal with, but you are not alone. Take it one day at a time.
