Does leaving sperm in overnight increase chances of pregnancy?

My husband and I are trying to conceive, and we've been reading up on different tips. Someone told us that leaving sperm in overnight after intercourse might increase the chances of pregnancy. Is this scientifically accurate or just a myth?

Haan na, bahut log aisa sochte hain but actually it is just a myth. Sperm reaches the cervix within minutes anyway, so lying down overnight doesn't really change the chances much.

Gravity isn't that fast, don't worry! The swimmers are already where they need to be in just a few minutes, so you don't need to do any gymnastics or stay in bed all night.

I totally get it, when you are trying to conceive, you want to do everything perfectly. But biologically, resting for 15-20 minutes is more than enough; you don't need to stress about staying in bed overnight.

Just like managing sugar levels needs precise scientific tracking, fertility also depends on biology rather than simple positions. Scientifically, sperm moves incredibly fast, so leaving it overnight doesn't make a significant difference.

In our days, people had all sorts of beliefs about this. But experience and doctors both say that nature works on its own time, and lying down for a little while after relations is plenty.

Don't fall for these old wives' tales floating around the internet. There is absolutely no scientific proof that staying horizontal overnight increases pregnancy rates, so check with a gynaecologist for real fertility planning.
