Does latent tb needs treatment?

My colleague was diagnosed with active TB, and after testing, I was told I have latent TB. I have no symptoms at all, but the doctor still advised treatment. I'm a bit hesitant to take medicines if I don't feel ill; is treatment really necessary for latent TB?

Yes, latent TB needs to be treated to prevent it from turning into active TB. The preventive medication course is much lighter and shorter than active TB treatment. It is better to finish it now rather than risking a major health issue during a busy work phase later.

I can only share my own experience—my doctor made me take a three-month course of preventive medicines for latent TB even though I felt completely fine. He told me it protects me for life. You should definitely check with a pulmonologist to see what is best for you.

Stay positive and take care of your body, as it is your temple. Latent TB does require medical treatment to completely clear the sleeping seeds of the disease. Trust your doctors, take the medicine with a calm mind, and you will be completely fine.

Since we already manage hormonal challenges with PCOS, keeping our overall immunity high is very important. Latent TB does need treatment because if our body gets weak or stressed, those dormant bacteria can easily activate. Please consult a specialist who can guide you safely.

Yes, latent TB absolutely needs treatment so it doesn't develop into active, contagious lung disease later.

Bro, yes, you definitely need to treat it. My doctor told me latent TB is like a ticking time bomb; you never know when your immunity will drop and it will turn into full-blown active TB. Don't take a risk, just finish the course.
