Does laser removal cause cancer?

Considering a laser procedure for some skin issues, I've heard some conflicting information online. A few people mentioned concerns about whether laser treatments can cause cancer. Is there any truth to these claims about laser removal and cancer risk?

No, laser hair or tattoo removal doesn't cause cancer. The lasers used only penetrate the skin surface to target pigment or hair follicles, using non-ionizing radiation which is safe. I got my tattoo removed last year and researched this heavily before committing my weekends to sessions.

I asked my doctor this exact question while discussing skin treatments over lunch! She laughed and said eating highly processed food daily is far riskier than laser. Laser doesn't use the harmful UV rays that cause skin cancer, so you can safely get it done.

Arey nahi na, laser is completely safe. People just hear the word 'radiation' and get scared unnecessarily, ho na. It is just light energy that doesn't damage your DNA at all, so don't worry about cancer.

From what I have read and discussed with health professionals, medical lasers are non-ionizing, meaning they lack the energy to cause cellular mutations. To prevent skin irritation after laser, I always suggest focusing on a high-antioxidant vegetarian diet with plenty of water.

I have undergone both laser hair removal and birthmark reduction over the last five years. There is absolutely no cancer risk because the laser wavelength is restricted and safe. Just make sure you follow the post-treatment care like applying sunscreen and avoiding direct sun exposure to prevent temporary burns.

When I got laser treatment at a reputed multi-specialty hospital, the head dermatologist cleared this doubt immediately. She explained the scientific difference between medical lasers and cancer-causing radiation. I highly recommend visiting a good hospital to get your doubts cleared by professionals.
