Does laser hair removal work for pcos?

With PCOS, one of my biggest concerns is the excessive hair growth on my body and face. I've heard about laser hair removal and am wondering if it's an effective solution for women with PCOS-related hair growth. Does it actually work well for us?

Haan na, it definitely works but you have to be very patient with PCOS hair. It takes more sessions than usual because our hormones keep triggering new hair growth. But honestly, it reduces the thick growth so much and makes life very easy, ho na.

I tried everything from turmeric paste to threading for my PCOS facial hair, but nothing lasted and my skin got so irritated. Finally, I tried laser and it was the best decision. It doesn't cure the root hormonal issue, but it successfully thins out the stubborn hair so you don't have to keep hiding your face.

It works well to manage the thick facial hair, but remember that laser is just an external helper. To get long-lasting results, we must balance our hormones internally too. Doing daily pranayama like Kapalbhati and eating clean, natural foods alongside your laser sessions will give you the best results.

It works, but you have to manage expectations. I track my PCOS symptoms on my health app and noticed that when my sleep and stress levels are bad, hair growth is faster even with laser. Laser will reduce the density, but you must pair it with hormonal treatment from your gynecologist for permanent management.

I am thinking of getting laser done for my chin hair but I am so scared that it might stimulate even more hair growth because of my PCOS. Did anyone else face this issue or see the hair come back thicker? I would love to know if it's actually worth the money and pain.

Please get your hormone levels checked by an endocrinologist first before spending money on laser. I ignored my rapid hair growth for a long time, thinking it was just cosmetic, and missed diagnosing my PCOS early. Laser only works effectively if your hormonal imbalance is being actively treated with medication.

Honestly, laser is the only thing saving me from looking like a caveman while dealing with PCOS fatigue. I don't even have the energy to pluck my face anymore. It takes a million sessions because of our crazy hormones, but at least I can sleep extra instead of waxing every week.
