Does lack of oestrogen cause weight gain?

Ever since I hit my late 40s, I've noticed significant weight gain, especially around my midsection. My doctor mentioned hormonal changes during perimenopause. Does lack of oestrogen cause weight gain? It's been quite frustrating.

Yes, it slows down metabolism significantly, leading to quick weight gain. Between work and home, I didn't have time for long gym sessions, but doing 20 minutes of high-intensity workouts and meal prepping helped me manage. Go see a gynaecologist first to save time on trial and error.

Hey, don't worry too much. It is a very natural biological process that happens when estrogen levels drop during hormonal shifts. Focus on eating clean, sleeping well, and please don't push yourself into extreme diets. We will figure this out safely with a doctor's help.

Haan, bilkul hota hai! Estrogen kam hone se body fat storage ka pattern change ho jata hai aur weight pet par jamne lagta hai, na. Apne diet me thoda change karo aur ho sake toh doctor se discuss karke supplements le lo.

While estrogen drop is a known cause for weight gain, it is highly unsafe to self-diagnose. There could be other issues like insulin resistance or thyroid problems. Please get a proper hormone panel test done and consult a registered doctor.

I was also reading up on this and got so scared that my weight gain was due to early menopause. It really makes you overthink everything! But don't stress, just talking to a kind doctor and taking it step-by-step will make you feel much better.

I was actually researching this for my mom who has been struggling with weight issues recently. It seems estrogen drops really affect how the body uses energy and stores fat. It's fascinating but definitely requires medical advice to manage properly.

Yes, lower estrogen definitely makes our bodies hold onto stubborn fat! 🙈 But don't let it bring your mood down. A good routine, some fun dance workouts, and clean eating can work wonders to keep you fit and glowing! ✨
