Does l theanine cause liver damage?

I've been looking into L-Theanine for relaxation and stress relief. I'm generally careful about supplements, especially anything that could harm organs. Does L-Theanine cause liver damage? My liver health is important to me.

I was actually researching l-theanine for my work stress last week and found no scientific proof of it causing liver damage in recommended doses. It is just an amino acid found in green tea. Has anyone here taken it long-term and got their LFT reports done?

At 54, my liver has survived decades of oily parathas and heavy tea, so these tiny l-theanine supplements shouldn't hurt healthy people. Joking aside, standard doses are safe, but don't gulp down pills like candies. Just drink normal green tea, it has natural theanine anyway.

I got so terrified after reading a random blog about supplement liver toxicity that I almost threw my theanine bottle away. But my general physician reassured me that normal dietary levels are perfectly fine and don't harm the liver. Just avoid taking extremely high synthetic doses.

Bhaiyya, hum toh seedhe log hain, ye sab chemical ka naam sun kar hi darr lagta hai. Agar dimaag shaant rakhna hai toh tulsi ka patta aur thoda pudina paani piyo, liver bhi thik rahega aur neend bhi achhi aayegi. Bina doctor se pooche aisi goliyan mat khaya karo.

Managing high BP has taught me that we must protect our kidneys and liver at all costs from unprescribed pills. L-theanine is generally safe for anxiety, but please get regular blood tests and blood pressure checkups. Always keep your doctor in the loop about what you consume.

I used l-theanine for six months to manage my anxiety and sleep issues, and my liver function tests remained absolutely normal throughout. The key is to stick to a 100-200mg dosage and buy from highly reputed, lab-tested brands. Don't buy cheap, unverified brands online.
