Does knee braces help with knee pain?

My knees have been bothering me a lot lately, especially after long walks. Someone at the chemist suggested I try a knee brace for support. I wanted to know if these actually help in reducing the pain effectively, ya?

I used a knee brace for six months after my meniscus tear and it definitely provides great stability. But remember, it is only a temporary support, not a permanent cure. You must do quadricep strengthening exercises daily to actually heal the pain.

Haan na, knee pain is so irritating during monsoon and winters. Braces help a lot to keep the knee warm and stable while walking or climbing stairs. You can easily buy a simple elastic one from any local chemist, it gives great relief.

They definitely help by giving good support during your morning walks, dear. But don't wear them 24/7 or your leg muscles will become weak over time. Use it only when you are moving around a lot, and let the knee breathe when resting.

My son hurt his knee during school football practice and the doctor suggested a lightweight brace. It kept his joint aligned and prevented him from twisting it further. It really helps them recover safely, but make sure to get the correct size so it doesn't block blood circulation.

Yes, they absolutely help by reducing the pressure on your joint. Get a hinged one if your pain is severe.
