Does ketoconazole shampoo help with hair loss?

A lot of hair shedding lately has been quite concerning for me. My friend suggested trying ketoconazole shampoo. Can ketoconazole shampoo actually help in reducing hair loss?

It can help if your hair loss is due to dandruff or an oily scalp. But remember, external shampoo is only 20% of the solution. Make sure you are taking enough protein, seeds, and leafy greens in your daily diet to strengthen the roots from within.

Actually, some studies on my health tracking apps suggest it has mild anti-androgen properties which can help with pattern thinning. It's not a magic cure for hair loss though. It mostly works by keeping the scalp environment clean and inflammation-free.

It helps indirectly by clearing up the dandruff and fungal infections that choke your hair roots. When the scalp is healthy and congestion-free, hair naturally stays stronger. Pair it with deep breathing exercises like Kapalbhati to improve your scalp blood circulation.

I totally understand how stressful it is to watch your hair fall out every day, it used to give me panic attacks. Honestly, treating the scalp issue with ketoconazole is the right first step. Once the itching and dandruff subside, your hair roots will definitely get some relief.

I have been using it for three weeks now because my hair was falling out in clumps due to dandruff. I think it is helping a little bit, but did anyone else feel their hair got super dry and straw-like after using it? I am a bit worried about the texture.

Yaar, it actually works wonders if you have flaky scalp issues that cause hair fall. I used to scratch my head constantly and lose hair. Once I started using this twice a week as suggested by my dermatologist, my hair fall reduced majorly.
