Does kava kava cause liver damage?

I'm researching natural remedies for stress and came across Kava Kava. However, I'm concerned about reports of it causing liver damage. Is it safe to use this herb?

I recently had elevated liver enzymes after taking some fancy wellness supplements. It took me months of doctor visits and a strict diet to recover. Please avoid things like Kava Kava, it is really not worth risking your liver health.

With PCOS, I am always very cautious about taking any new herbal supplements because our hormones and liver are already sensitive. I've read that Kava Kava can be quite hard on the liver, so I personally avoid it. It is always better to discuss with your doctor first.

Even natural, plant-based things can have strong side effects on our internal organs. I prefer sticking to simple, whole foods and traditional herbs like tulsi or turmeric which are thoroughly tested. Please do your research before consuming such foreign herbal supplements.

Managing high BP has taught me that we shouldn't stress our organs with unnecessary supplements. Kava Kava has a known association with liver issues in many medical reports. Keep your lifestyle simple and get your liver and kidney functions checked regularly.
