Does kava cause liver damage?

I've been looking into Kava for stress relief, but I also came across some warnings about it causing liver damage. How significant is this risk, and what precautions should I take?

Please do not ignore warning signs like dark urine or fatigue. I once ignored minor digestive issues which turned out to be liver inflammation from some random herbal supplements. Always get a liver function test done if you have been taking such herbs.

When you have diabetes, your liver is already working hard to process medicines. Introducing untested herbal supplements like Kava can be very risky for your liver health. It is much safer to stick to your prescribed diet and medicine plan.

I love trying different food and exotic drinks from around the world, but Kava is one thing I've stayed away from. There are many reports linking it to liver toxicity in Western countries. I'd rather stick to my safe and comforting cup of cutting chai!

Actually, Kava has been banned in several countries because of its connection to liver damage, yaar. It's not something to be taken lightly. If you are looking for relaxation, there are far safer options like chamomile tea available locally.

I was actually reading about Kava tea for stress relief, but these liver warnings are really scaring me. Does anyone know if even small, occasional cups of this tea are considered dangerous for health? I'd appreciate some guidance.
