Does insulin resistance cause weight gain?

My recent blood tests showed that I might have insulin resistance. I've also been struggling with weight gain for the past year without much change in diet. Could this insulin resistance be the reason for my weight gain?

Oh absolutely! It makes you crave sweets and carbs like crazy because your cells are starving for energy. Managing those late-night food cravings is the hardest part, but it is necessary to stop the weight gain.

Yes, it definitely does. My teenage daughter struggled with sudden weight gain around her belly due to insulin resistance. We had to work closely with a pediatrician and nutritionist to manage her diet and help her stay active.

Hey, don't stress too much about it! Yes, insulin resistance makes it super easy to store fat and hard to lose it. But with some small, consistent changes in your routine, you can totally reverse it.

Yes, it locks your body into fat-storage mode. If your doctor clears you, try adding strength training and a brisk 20-minute walk after meals. It works wonders to make your cells more sensitive to insulin again.

As someone with PCOS, insulin resistance is my constant shadow and it definitely caused stubborn weight gain for me. Please don't beat yourself up thinking you aren't trying hard enough; it is a metabolic issue that needs medical guidance.

Yes, it does! Because your body produces extra insulin which stores fat instead of burning it. But don't worry, a low-GI diet and some happy dancing can help bring it back on track! 💃

I tried all kinds of herbal juices to stop my weight gain, but I realized insulin resistance needs a structured approach. Cutting down on refined sugar and maida did more for me than any home remedy.
