Does inositol cause hair loss?

I've started taking Inositol for PCOS as suggested by my gynae, hoping it will help with hormone balance. I'm a bit concerned about my hair, which is already thinning. Does Inositol cause hair loss as a side effect?

I had the same concern before starting it! Inositol actually helps balance hormones, which can help *reduce* hair fall for many women. Just eat good food alongside.

Bro, my sister was taking this and she didn't lose any hair. I think hair loss is usually because of stress or bad water, not inositol. Dont panic before trying it.

Actually, I just finished a 3-month course of inositol for my PCOS. I was so scared of hair loss, but honestly, it did the opposite for me and my hair fall actually reduced. Give it some time to work.

Trust your body's healing process. Inositol is a natural compound that supports your system gently. Keep a positive mindset and nourish your body with pure food, things will fall into place.

While it is generally considered safe, everyone's body reacts differently to supplements. If you notice unusual shedding after starting inositol, stop it and consult your doctor immediately.

I completely understand why you are anxious; hair fall is literally the most stressful thing to deal with. But inositol is generally known to help with hormonal hair fall, not cause it. Try to take a deep breath.

No, it shouldn't cause hair loss. Along with your supplements, make sure you are getting enough protein and walking daily to keep your blood circulation active, which is great for hair roots.

According to my dermatologist, there is no scientific evidence linking inositol to hair loss. In fact, by improving insulin sensitivity in PCOS patients, it often helps control thinning hair. Always follow the prescribed dosage.
