Does increased insulin cause weight gain?

My doctor recently said my insulin levels are a bit high, and I've also been gaining weight despite trying to eat healthy. I'm connecting the dots. Does increased insulin in the body cause weight gain?

Honestly, yes, higher insulin can make your body store fat much faster. I tried so many methi water and karela juice remedies, but real change only happened when I cut down simple carbs. You have to work on insulin sensitivity first with proper food and light walking, home remedies alone won't fix it.

Between my 3 AM sleep schedule and high stress, my insulin shot up and I suddenly gained 5 kgs without even eating extra. Insulin is literally like that friend who hoards everything for no reason. Fix your sleep first, otherwise no matter how less you eat, body just keeps storing it.

My grandmother used to say eating some foods like jamun seeds helps control this, but my doctor cleared it up for me. High insulin definitely leads to weight gain because it is a hormone that builds up fat tissue. Please take your doctor's advice on diet modification, it makes a big difference.

I went through this exact same thing last year when my weight just wouldn't budge despite hitting the gym. It turns out my insulin was quite high, which basically tells the body to store energy as fat. Once I focused on eating more fiber and sleeping on time, things slowly started getting back to normal.

My doctor explained that high insulin levels act like a lock on your fat cells, making weight loss very difficult. Since I also have thyroid, I get my fasting insulin and HbA1c checked every six months. Please consult an endocrinologist and get a proper blood panel done to know exactly what is happening inside.

Haan na, weight gain and insulin have a direct connection. If insulin is high, the body doesn't burn fat easily, ho na. Thoda sweet control karna padega and daily walk chalu karo, check with your doctor once.
