Does ilumya cause weight gain?

My dermatologist recently suggested Ilumya for my psoriasis, and I'm a bit concerned about side effects. I'm worried about gaining weight if I start this treatment. Does Ilumya commonly cause weight gain?

I was just reading up on Ilumya because my aunt might start it for her plaque psoriasis. From what I found in the clinical trial data, weight gain isn't listed as a common side effect at all. But it's always good to hear real-life experiences from people taking it.

Actually, my friend is on Ilumya and she didn't gain any weight, yaar. In fact, her skin cleared up so nicely that she is much more active now. I think sometimes other factors like stress or thyroid cause the weight to go up, not the injection.

Biologics like Ilumya don't directly cause weight gain based on medical studies. Sometimes, just feeling better and having less pain makes us eat more and relax. Keep a track of your daily steps and try to maintain a clean diet, you'll be absolutely fine.

Hey! My dad has been taking Ilumya shots for a year now and he hasn't put on any weight because of it. Dont worry too much about it, just ask your doctor if you're feeling doubtful.

Do not worry, child. This medicine is for curing your skin disease. My cousin took this and she did not face any such problem of getting fat. Eat simple home-cooked meals and keep walking, everything will be fine.

Look, there is no scientific proof that Ilumya causes weight gain directly. If you are noticing your weight going up, check your daily routine and food habits instead of blaming the medicine. Speak to your doctor if you still feel uncomfortable.
