Does hyrimoz cause weight gain?

I started taking a new medication called hyrimoz for my autoimmune condition. I've noticed I'm gaining weight, and it's making me feel quite self-conscious. Is weight gain a known side effect of hyrimoz?

I was also prescribed Hyrimoz and I literally spent three days googling all the side effects and worrying about weight gain! Some people say it causes mild bloating, but honestly, it varies so much from person to person. Don't stress yourself out too much, just keep track of your diet and talk to your doctor if you notice sudden changes.

Since it's a biologic medication, it can sometimes affect how your body holds water or handles inflammation, leading to slight weight changes. I always suggest keeping your digestion clean with home-cooked meals and ginger tea to prevent bloating. But if you feel sudden swelling or severe pain, please consult your doctor immediately.

Some patients on biologics like Hyrimoz report minor weight changes, but often it's because they are finally feeling better and eating more! If your doctor says it's okay, try to maintain a daily routine of active walking or light yoga. Staying active is the best way to keep your metabolism in check while on chronic medication.

Look, Hyrimoz is a serious medicine for autoimmune issues, so don't worry about minor weight gain right now. Your main focus should be getting your inflammation down. If you do put on some weight, you can always burn it off later with a clean diet. Health comes first!

Please don't skip or delay taking your Hyrimoz just because you are scared of gaining weight. I once ignored my prescribed autoimmune meds because of side-effect fears, and my condition got so bad I had to be hospitalized. If you notice any unusual weight changes, discuss it directly with your rheumatologist.

At this age, even breathing seems to cause weight gain, so I don't solely blame medications like Hyrimoz! It might cause a little water weight, but that's better than living with severe joint pain. Just enjoy your life, eat moderately, and let the medicine do its job.
