Does high prolactin cause weight gain?

I've been diagnosed with high prolactin levels, and I'm also struggling with unexplained weight gain. Is there a connection, and does high prolactin cause weight gain?

Haan, bilkul hota hai. Prolactin level badhne se metabolism slow ho jata hai aur weight gain hone lagta hai. Apne doctor se discuss karke checkup karva lo, tension mat lena, treatable hai ye.

Hyperprolactinemia is clinically associated with metabolic rate reduction and weight gain. It is highly recommended to consult an endocrinologist to identify the underlying cause, whether it is stress or thyroid related, and get targeted treatment.

I had high prolactin last year and gained almost 6 kgs without changing my diet. My doctor gave me some medication, and once my levels returned to normal, losing that weight became so much easier. Don't lose hope!

Don't search for remedies online for hormonal issues. People will suggest random seeds and herbs which might mess up your endocrine system more. Go to an established hospital and consult a specialist.

Managing PCOS made me realize how connected prolactin and thyroid are. High levels can definitely stall your weight loss. Try to get a complete hormone panel done so you can address the root cause with your doctor.

While you must follow the doctor's prescription for high prolactin, you can also focus on stress-relief habits. Drinking warm chamomile tea and practicing deep breathing helped calm my nervous system during my health issues.
