Does hepatitis b vaccine expire?

I'm planning an international trip and need to update my vaccination records. I got the Hep B vaccine many years ago. Does the protection from this vaccine expire over time, meaning I need another shot?

Yes, like all medicines, the vaccine vial itself has a printed expiry date before it is injected. Also, the protection it offers can sometimes fade over decades. It is best to consult a doctor and get a titer test to check your immunity levels.

Arre haan, har dawai ki tarah iski sheeshi par bhi tareekh likhi hoti hai expired hone ki. Aur doctor babu kehte hain ki iska asar bhi bohot saal chalta hai. Aap hospital jaakar ek baar unse pooch lo, woh sab sahi bata denge.

Yes, the actual vial has an expiry date, so clinics always check that before giving the shot. If you are asking about the immunity, my college health center told me a full 3-dose course usually protects you for at least 20 years or even life.

I used to think home remedies could protect our liver forever, but vaccine protection is actual science. Yes, the liquid vaccine expires in the bottle. Once taken, it gives very long protection, but you can always ask a doctor to confirm.

Yes, the vaccine doses definitely have an expiration date on the packaging. Always ensure the nurse checks the date before administering the injection.
