Does hair spa removes dandruff?

My scalp has been really itchy and flaky recently, and regular shampoos aren't helping much. I was wondering if getting a hair spa treatment at a salon could actually help in removing dandruff completely. Has anyone experienced this?

Honestly, I spent 1500 bucks on an anti-dandruff hair spa before my college fest and the flakes were back in like three days. It feels nice and relaxing for an hour, but it definitely doesn't cure dandruff permanently.

In my sixty years, I have seen so many modern salon treatments come and go. These spas only give a temporary shine by washing the scalp thoroughly, but the dryness or fungus returns soon. Don't get disheartened, a simple medicated wash is much more effective.

Salon staff will always claim that their expensive hair spa will completely cure your dandruff, but they are just selling services. Dandruff is a medical scalp condition, often fungal, and needs clinical treatment. Verify with a dermatologist instead of relying on parlor packages.

I kept getting expensive hair spas every month thinking it would solve my itchy scalp, but it turned out to be seborrheic dermatitis. Because I delayed seeing a doctor, my hair loss got really bad. Don't ignore persistent scaling, get a proper medical checkup done.

I totally understand how stressful it is when you see those white flakes and feel like nothing is working. A hair spa might give you some temporary relief from the itching because they steam and wash your hair well, but please don't expect it to be a permanent cure.

Please be very careful with the heavy creams and steam used in hair spas. I had a severe allergic reaction to one of the spa creams which made my scalp red, inflamed, and actually worsened my dandruff. If you have a sensitive scalp, see a doctor first.
