Does hair loss come from mother or father?

I'm starting to get worried about hair loss because my maternal uncle is quite bald, but my dad has a full head of hair. I'm trying to understand the genetics. Does hair loss typically come from the mother's side or the father's side of the family?

Genetically speaking, it can come from both sides. While popular belief points to the mother's side, paternal genes are also very strong in determining hair patterns. Don't worry too much, just maintain a good scalp routine.

It can be inherited from either side of your family. The best way is to consult a dermatologist if you start seeing a pattern of thinning.

In my family, I saw my father lose his hair early, but I got my mother's thick hair genes. It really is a game of chance. Just live a healthy lifestyle and don't fret over things you cannot control.

Both sides play a part, but remember that lifestyle and stress can trigger those genes earlier. Focus on regular exercise, high protein, and lifting weights to keep your body and hair healthy.

It's a mix of both! My dad has a shiny bald head but my mom has amazing thick curls, and I got a mix of both worlds. Just enjoy your hair and take good care of it daily.

I constantly look at my mom's and dad's hair and get so anxious about my future hair fall. It seems both sides contribute, which makes it even harder to predict. Let's just try our best to stay stress-free.
