Does graves disease cause hair loss?

I was diagnosed with Graves' disease a few months ago, and since then, I've noticed a lot of hair falling out. Is hair loss a common symptom of Graves' disease?

Listen, I know seeing your hair fall out is very scary, but it is a very common symptom of an overactive thyroid. Once your doctor starts you on anti-thyroid medication and your levels settle down, this shedding will stop. Don't stress, we will get this sorted out.

Graves' disease se baal bahut jhadte hain, mere padosi ko bhi yahi takleef thi. Aap bilkul chinta mat kijiye, jab dawai shuru hogi toh baal phir se theek ho jayenge. Bas achha khana khaiye aur doctor babu ki baat maniye.

Yes, Graves' disease absolutely causes hair thinning because the thyroid hormone imbalance disrupts your hair growth cycle. I delayed seeing an endocrinologist and lost more than half my hair volume. Please consult a doctor immediately to get your hormone levels stabilized.

Ugh, dealing with thyroid issues and hair fall is the worst, especially when you are trying to enjoy life! I found that while the medicine does the heavy lifting, eating lots of protein-rich paneer tikka and almonds helped me feel like I was doing something good for my hair.

Yeah yaar, Graves' actually messes up your hair big time because of the thyroid spike. I was so freaked out by the hair fall, but my doc said it is just temporary telogen effluvium. Once your thyroid levels are under control, it actually gets much better.

I was diagnosed with Graves' last year and my hair was falling out in clumps every time I showered. It was extremely distressing, but after about four months on my thyroid prescription, the shedding finally reduced and my hair is slowly coming back now.
