Does golo work for weight loss?

My cousin abroad swears by a program called 'Golo' for weight loss. I'm curious if Golo is really effective for shedding kilos, or if it's just another diet trend.

The Golo program and its release supplements are quite expensive to import to India. Honestly, instead of spending thousands on these foreign plans, you should get a basic thyroid and insulin test done at a local lab for 800 rupees. A local doctor can give you a much more affordable and realistic treatment.

Saw a bunch of TikToks and YouTube videos about Golo, but it seems like a lot of marketing hype. They basically tell you to eat clean and exercise, which we already know we should be doing anyway. Save your money and just download a free calorie tracking app instead.

Because of my hypothyroidism, my weight has always been a struggle and these fancy programs are very tempting. But my endocrinologist advised me that we must first balance our hormone levels through regular blood tests and proper prescribed medication. Don't self-medicate with online supplements.

I have been reading about Golo to manage my slow metabolism, but I am so scared of starting any new pills because of potential side effects. Has anyone here actually tried it in India? Did it cause any stomach issues or racing heartbeats?

I looked into the science behind Golo; they focus a lot on insulin management. Honestly, you can track your macros and insulin spikes easily using a health app and a continuous glucose monitor. Understanding your body's response to food naturally is much more sustainable than buying pills.

Before buying any supplement like Golo that claims to manage insulin, please consult your doctor. Messing with your insulin levels using over-the-counter pills can be risky if you have undiagnosed pre-diabetes. It is always better to get your fasting sugar checked first.

A cousin of mine in the US tried Golo for six months. He did lose some weight, but he was also following a very strict low-carb meal plan that they provide. He told me that once he stopped the pills but kept eating clean, his weight didn't come back, so the diet was the main hero.

I totally get it, trying to lose weight can feel so lonely and confusing with so many products out there. It makes us want to just buy whatever promises to fix it quickly. But please be gentle with yourself; sustainable weight loss takes time, and you don't need expensive foreign pills to achieve it.
