Does food go through the liver?

During a recent biology lesson, we were talking about organs, and it got me thinking. After we eat, does all the food directly pass through the liver, or is the liver involved in a different way in processing what we consume?

I used to think food literally passes through the liver and got so scared when I had liver issues. But actually, the digested food nutrients are absorbed into the blood first, and then that blood goes to the liver for filtering. It is a completely normal, healthy process!

All the nutrient-rich blood from our digestion goes straight to the liver to be purified. That is why keeping your liver healthy with fresh papaya and warm water is so important. But if you have severe pain or yellowing of eyes, please see a doctor immediately.

Haha, no! Your butter chicken doesn't take a physical walk through your liver. The stomach digests it, and the liver just acts like a strict security guard, checking all the nutrients in the blood. So rest easy, your liver is just a filter!

Yes, everything we absorb goes to the liver for processing and metabolism. To keep your liver from getting overloaded with fats, a good daily walk or workout is super helpful. Keep your body moving to help your liver do its job efficiently.

Yes, the liver processes all the nutrients we get from our food. It is just your body's natural way of keeping you healthy and safe. Take care and don't worry too much about the details.

Biologically speaking, food is broken down in the gut, and the absorbed nutrients enter the portal vein which leads directly to the liver. The liver filters toxins before sending nutrients to the rest of the body. For any concerns about liver health, consulting a specialist is always the right path.

Haan na, hamari body ka system sach mein kamaal hai. Jo bhi khana hum khate hain, uske saare nutrients liver se filter hokar hi aage jaate hain. Isiliye humein apne liver ka khayal rakhna chahiye.
