Does folic acid cause hair loss?

Started taking a folic acid supplement a few months ago for general well-being. Lately, I've noticed a bit more hair fall than usual, and I'm wondering if there's any connection. Could folic acid actually cause hair loss?

I freaked out when I started my B-complex supplements thinking my hair fall was due to folic acid. But my dermatologist explained that folic acid actually supports hair growth, and my hair fall was due to stress. Once I calmed down, my hair got better.

I understand how alarming it is to see clumps of hair in the drain and blame your new vitamins. But don't worry, folic acid actually helps in cell regeneration and prevents hair loss, it doesn't cause it. Take a deep breath!

Folic acid is essential for healthy hair, so it won't cause hair loss. I ignored my heavy hair shedding for a year thinking it was just seasonal, but it turned out to be a severe vitamin deficiency. Get a proper blood test done immediately.

Folic acid causing hair loss? No way! It's actually a buddy to your hair follicles, helping them grow. If you're losing hair, blame your boss or your genes, but definitely not folic acid!

Folic acid is actually vitamin B9, which is crucial for healthy hair and skin. It is found in green leafy vegetables and lentils, and it definitely won't cause hair fall. Focus on a balanced diet rich in iron and proteins as well.

Folic acid promotes hair growth rather than causing hair loss, so you can continue taking it safely. If you are experiencing hair fall, it could be due to iron deficiency or thyroid issues. Get a routine health checkup done to find the real cause.
