Does focalin cause weight gain?

My psychiatrist is considering prescribing Focalin for my ADHD symptoms. I've been reading up on it, and I'm a bit concerned about potential side effects. Does anyone know if Focalin causes weight gain?

I tried giving my nephew fennel water and herbal teas when his appetite dropped on this medicine. Weight gain is very rare with Focalin; it usually makes children eat less. Offering small, nutrient-rich meals throughout the day helps maintain their strength.

I can only speak from what I went through while taking Focalin. Instead of gaining, I actually lost a bit of weight because my appetite went down completely. It depends a lot on your personal body reaction.

Hey, don't worry about weight gain with Focalin, as it typically suppresses hunger rather than increasing it. Just make sure you are eating healthy meals on time even if you don't feel like it. Keep your doctor updated on any major appetite changes.

Usually, Focalin is an appetite killer, so weight gain isn't common at all. But when the medicine wears off in the evening, the hunger crash is real! That's when I crave heavy butter chicken and naan, which is where the real weight risk lies!

Gaining weight on Focalin? That would be a miracle! Usually, it makes you forget food even exists because of how focused you get. Keep some snacks handy so you don't accidentally shrink!

My son has been on Focalin for his ADHD, and we actually had the opposite issue of weight loss. His doctor advised us to give him a heavy breakfast before the morning dose. Please monitor your child's growth charts with their pediatrician regularly.
