Does flecainide cause hair loss?

I've been on Flecainide for my heart condition for a while now, and I've noticed my hair thinning quite a bit. I'm starting to worry if it's related. Does Flecainide cause hair loss as a side effect?

I was reading up on this because my uncle was prescribed flecainide recently. From what I found, hair loss is listed as a very rare side effect, but it does happen to a small percentage of people. It is quite stressful when you start a new heart medicine.

Flecainide is a serious antiarrhythmic medication. If you are experiencing hair loss or any other new symptoms since starting it, please do not stop the medication on your own. Discuss it with your cardiologist immediately to rule out other causes.

I know how upsetting hair thinning can be, especially when you are already dealing with health issues. While it can occasionally happen with heart meds, stress about the condition itself also causes hair fall. Try using a gentle shampoo and talk to your doctor about it.

Any major medication can put stress on your body, sometimes leading to temporary hair shedding. If your doctor allows, light walking daily for 30 minutes can help improve blood circulation and reduce overall stress, which is great for both your heart and hair.

It is so hard when the medicine meant to help your heart starts affecting your appearance and confidence. I felt so depressed when my hair started thinning after starting my medication. Please know your feelings are completely valid, and you are not alone in this.
