Does excess estrogen cause weight gain?

Lately, I've noticed a lot of unexplained weight gain, especially around my mid-section. A friend suggested it might be related to hormonal imbalance, specifically too much estrogen. Is it true that excess estrogen can cause weight gain?

Haan na, estrogen dominance can definitely make you put on weight, especially around the hips and tummy area. It makes you hold onto water weight too, which is so annoying. It is better to get your hormone levels checked once by a gynac.

I always visit a proper multi-specialty hospital for hormone-related concerns because they have the best testing labs. Please consult an experienced endocrinologist who can clearly explain how your estrogen levels are impacting your weight and suggest the right path.

I went through this exact same struggle last year and was constantly gaining weight despite eating clean. Once my doctor identified the estrogen issue and we worked on my gut health and liver detox, the weight slowly started coming off. There is hope, just get a proper diagnosis.

Actually yaar, hormonal imbalance is a major culprit for stubborn fat. I was working out like crazy but nothing happened until my doc balanced my hormones. Don't stress too much, just go get a proper blood test done.

If you suspect hormonal weight gain, don't waste time trying crash diets which only mess up your system more. Schedule a quick blood test and consult an endocrinologist. Managing stress and getting 7 hours of sleep is also crucial for hormone balance.

Yes, it really does. I noticed a lot of bloating and weight gain when my hormones were off. Eating lots of green veggies and staying active helped me manage the symptoms, but getting a doctor's advice is definitely the most practical first step.

I was actually researching this online recently. High estrogen can lower your metabolism and cause thyroid issues too, which indirectly leads to weight gain. It is quite interesting how a small hormonal shift changes so much in the body.

I totally get it, struggling with unexplained weight gain can make you feel so frustrated and down. It feels like you are doing everything right but your body is working against you. Please be gentle with yourself and consult a supportive doctor.
